WHY A VEGAN PRODUCT FOR DOGS AND CATS?

Veterinary advice, Dog, Cat

Vegetarian and vegan choices are now a consolidated reality and more and more people are approaching this lifestyle for ethical or health reasons or just out of simple curiosity.

More and more people are choosing a diet that respects these principles, including for their dogs and cats, which can also help to meet specific nutritional needs.

Although, as is well known, dogs and cats are animals that see their ancestors as carnivores, in certain situations resorting to a plant-based diet can be of real help to them. Particularly when other foods, containing meat or animal derivatives, can trigger disturbances of various kinds, skin rather than intestinal, but also where specific diets and the use of hydrolysates have not brought results, the use of a plant-based diet, even if only for a certain period of time, has in many cases proved to be decidedly effective.

The integration of completely vegetable products can also be useful in providing a greater quantity of fibre in the diet. Combining a completely vegetable wet product with a food consisting mainly of meat provides an all-round complete diet. This provides a complete supply of vitamins and minerals and a source of fibre that promotes proper intestinal transit.

It is important, however, to choose plant-based foods that have been designed and formulated correctly and that provide the right balance of nutrients. The V.E.G. range respects these principles and is the broadest on the market, providing both dry and wet foods to meet the nutritional needs of dogs and cats.

Vegan dry is a complete food for both dogs and cats, composed of vegetable ingredients that provide the right level of proteins and carbohydrates, complete with vitamins including those of the B group and arachidonic acid in the cat formula.

Vegan wet is a complementary food with a gelatine formula that can be combined with Vegan dry or other meat products to complete the daily ration.

All products in the V.E.G. range are free of wheat and soya.

Try and be amazed by Vegan products and try them also in the following situations to directly test quality and taste:

  • food intolerances not resolved by specific diets;
  • alternative to mono-protein, as an exclusion diet;
  • purifying diet for use at certain times of the year;
  • dietary supplement as a source of fibre (especially Vegan wet) in meat-based diets;
  • for Vegan owners looking for a similar product for their dogs and cats.
